A Message from the Chair of the Board of Directors
It is an immense privilege to be asked to chair the CAT Board, not least because of the strong commitment from Directors and school governors to improving the lives of young people in Thanet. This we achieve by working together with a relentless focus on academic standards; a broad and varied curriculum and exciting out of school activities. All driven by outstanding teachers, support staff and senior leadership teams.
All our schools offer the International Baccalaureate programme, equipping our students with the skills to excel in whatever career pathway they follow. Directors and school governors set high aspirations for our students who are supported and encouraged to be the best they can be.
I went to school in Thanet and have seen the area change over the years. Despite some obvious challenges I believe the future for our young people is one of optimism and opportunity. I am proud to say that this positive attitude sits at the heart of the CAT’s commitment to our students and more widely to the young people of Thanet.
